OMFG I'm so happy I finally finished this.
I'd promised myself I wouldn't let you guys see any of the animation for Flocons et carottes (Snowflakes And Carrots), but spending seven days animating this one shot made me change my mind, haha. I figured it wouldn't hurt just to tease with only one scene, would it?
Anyway---so here's the sixth scene in its entirety. There's roughly 180 drawings in there, I stopped counting after a while (and sometimes it's hard to tell because I'm a lazy bastard when it comes to re-numbering my drawings---so I have a bunch numbered 10A, 10B, 10C, etc).
The funny thing about this shot is that I had virtually no idea where I was going. I knew I wanted her to climb over the fence, but I didn't really know how she'd do it, I couldn't exactly ask anyone to mime it for me, and I'm not quite the type to go check videos for reference. So I thought, what the heck, let's just try it and see. It turned out to be one of those lucky shots that works nearly perfectly on first try.
That snow on her head, though---it's a whole other story. You can really tell I started over a billion times, damnit.
Well, I hope you like this little preview of my upcoming film, haha. (For the record---I'm about 25% done with the animation right now!)
