Yet more homework for my Drawing class, this time we didn't have any subject in particular. I had a random urge to draw a little girl in a forest. I never draw backgrounds, so why not force myself to do some?
I was trying to achieve an old fairy tale kind of feeling, and while I was at it I thought I'd throw in some eerieness/gloominess to make it more interesting. I'm pretty proud of the result. It's so unlike me to draw backgrounds, and in traditional media, to boot...
It's very interesting... did that bird crash through the tree?

It just involved drawing. We could do whatever we wanted.
The teacher isn't really constructive, though. He seems to like everything, which is, in my opinion, as bad as hating everything--it's pointless. Well, at least I had fun!
I really love your work, and how it keeps progressing all the time. Keep doing whatever it is that you do! I don't comment on every piece you make, but it's always a treat to see one
and you drew a background! I think that's enough learning for today... But on that topic, what school do you go to? I've been searching about recently for some good artsy places and you seem to be doing well. I figure Boum's school must be a good one if it is indeed Boum's school...and all that.

Hahaha! I'm studying at Concordia University, in Montreal, Canada. It's a good place for Fine Arts, if you're interested (even if you're a bit far from here :B).
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
