Way too many hours have been put into this baby... woah.

I owe =kengiroo that drawing since July, I think. I really wanted to do something big, so I spent a lot of time on the lineart, started it over a few times because the angle was too complex. Then school started and this was on hiatus because I didn't want to rush it in-between all the homework. I guess waiting that long was a good thing because it looks better than it would have last summer :D

Colouring it was also difficult and long. I restarted the wood textures ten times or something because it never ended up like I wanted it to (it still doesn't, but it's not that bad I suppose). To make things worse, my computer died on me yesterday evening while I was finishing it up so I lost a part of it I had to start up again. Yay! I don't know why the machine still works this morning...

There are probably several angle and lighting errors but hey, bear with me, I haven't drawn anything like this in ages. Plus I've drawn the ship only relying on my memory and I know I'm not a pro when it comes to ships. (Thanks to Dreamworks' Sinbad, it didn't turn out that bad, heh.) I'm proud of it at least.

La prise de risque paie bien, le rendu de la plongée est vraiment chouette ! Et, compliment rare de ma part : la couleur est sympatoche comme tout, ça valait la peine d'y passer autant de temps ! ^___^

Bravo! Vraiment chouette ce dessin là, il y a un problème dans le bras gauche au niveau du coude et on dirait qu ele perso va tomber vers l'arrière, mais rien de grave, j'adore vraiment le style et les couleur! Wow!
la mer est vraiment trop cool!

wow, that's a complicated one. very brave angle! and pulled off very well, too. the shading is fantabulous. hurrah for ships even though I've never really ridden one!
