Where Are Those Wild Things? by boum Where Are Those Wild Things? by boum
My boyfriend's niece turned four this week, and she's crazy about Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are, so I figured I'd craft her something personal instead of buying something. I found my grandfather's ink kit in a shelf and decided to give it a try, and I had a lot of fun. It's like super concentrated watercolours, the pigments are intense, truly a thing I'll use again in the future.

So yeah, a Max and KW fanart, that I gave her framed. I don't know how well she registered that I made it especially for her, but I got a shy hug (I've only seen her a couple of times so far), so that alone made the whole thing worth it.

I hope you like!

Ow, thatīs so sweet :)...Once I was asked to draw a Spiderman picture for a little boy and I didnīt see his reaction over it, but I thought that such a young kid would be more happy about a toy he can grab and "use"...Itīs nice to hear that the little girl appreciated this kind of gift :)...

BTW: May I ask what kind of paper did you use for the inks? They are rather liquidy and make wrinkles on the paper, so I am wondering how it worked for you...

I used Bristol board, taped to the table while I was applying the ink. It's sturdy enough not to wrinkle, but if it's not taped it might bend a little :)
